Panguni Uththiram
It is an important Tamil Festival observed in the Tamil month of Panguni (March – April) Panguni Uththiram celebrates the wedding of important deities in the Hindu religion. The importance of Panguni Uttiram days is that the Uththiram Nakshathiram (Star) coincides with full moon day (Poornima) is the day when most divine weddings had taken place. It is widely belived that Lord Shiva married Goddess Parvathi, Lord Muruga married Devasena and Lord Rama married Sita on this day.
On the day in our temple Pongal is made in front of the God and afford to god as prasadham. After special pooja the Prasadham is distributed to all.
